Kids Room Christmas Decor Ideas

This is the first year I have decorated the kids rooms for Christmas and they are loving it!

See how I decorated our living room TV stand and bookshelves for Christmas, HERE.

Christmas decor is always so magical so I added some to the kids rooms to bring some extra coziness to their spaces!

I’m not really sure why this is the first year I have decorated the kids room for Christmas, but I will be doing it from now on! They both LOVE it and it makes me so happy to see them so happy.

I didn’t really buy anything new for their rooms and just used what I had which ended up working out really well! I did let the kids pick out a few ornaments for their trees, but that will be something we make a tradition each year which will be fun.

I did have a plan for their rooms and luckily I was able to use ornaments we already had to make it work. I didn’t add too much decor other than decorating their little trees for Christmas. John Paul did add some twinkle lights to Dominic’s room after I had already taken photos!

DOMINIC’S CHRISTMAS DECOR

In Dominic’s room, I put up a little pre lit tree. He is obsessed with all things cars, trucks, and buses so that’s the direction we went. He grabbed a bunch of the gold, red, and silver ornaments for his tree and hung them up. We got the bus and wagon ornament at Christmas Tree Shops AndThat! and the red truck ornament from Target. He loves stars, so I found this red fabric star ornament in my decor bin and thought it would be perfect as the tree topper. We wrapped a plaid blanket scarf around the bottom of the tree. I added the red ball garland around the bottom of the tree which is a few years old from Home Goods.

Under the tree, we put a red truck pillow which was a Target Dollar Spot find from a couple years ago. We also put this big red truck and filled it with stuffed ornaments that my godmother made for me on my first Christmas! Dominic has also insisted on having this green cone tree in his room!

Of course we have some Christmas books around too which help add some festive touches! His Christmas tree is perfect for him and he redecorates it all the time! He loves having his Christmas tree on at night and I love watching how excited he gets when he sees his tree every day! He’s so proud of his tree.

GIULIETTA’S CHRISTMAS DECOR

For Gigi’s room, I wanted to do a nutcracker themed tree. She has this Nutcracker book that sings and she is obsessed with it! I think it’s such a sweet little tree for a little girl!

I had this mini flocked tree that doesn’t have any lights on it. I put it into a rose gold basket. For lights, I used this flower twinkle light garland that I had from her birthday party in August. I used all white and gold ornaments I had from years past. I got her one of the nutcracker ornaments from Christmas Tree Shops AndThat! and the other was from the Nutcracker play that my Mom, sister, and I went to a few years ago. The rose gold reindeer is also from Christmas Tree Shops AndThat!. I found the little mouse ballerina ornament at Target along with the pink sparkly crown that I used as a tree topper. For some added texture, I stuck in some faux gold branches. I used her pom pom garland that’s usually hanging up on her window sill as tree garland. It all came together so well!

Her favorite Christmas books and stuffed animals are under her tree so she can read and play under the twinkle lights. Dominic found this pink bottle brush tree at Target for her and was so excited to bring it home for her!

This nutcracker tree is perfect for my little dolly! She will stand in front of her tree pointing at it and wanting the lights turned on. It’s so sweet how much she loves looking at the ornaments and taking them off to play with! Christmas wonder and amazement is so special through a child’s eye!
