Toddler Boy's Room Reveal

Toddler Boy's Room Reveal

I’m so excited to finally be sharing Dominic’s big boy room reveal!

See how I planned his room HERE.

This reveal of our toddler’s new big boy room is full of wonder and magic and I hope he enjoys it for many years to come!

We have been in the house living here for almost a week now. Dominic is loving his new room so I thought I would do a quick little room reveal!

We started with a pretty blank slate and I wanted to give it some personality. I wanted the room to be full of things that Dominic loves, but a space that will grow with him for a bit.

He is loving everything related to cars, trucks, and buses lately! This was an easy theme to run with as there are tons of car room ideas out there.

I wanted to give him a fun space that he loved being in so I had to do a car bed. I didn’t want the traditional car beds I’ve seen before, so I searched for a different option and came upon this fun metal race car bed. I knew it would be perfect as soon as I saw it. Dominic was SO excited when I showed him the picture of it too!

BED AND BEDDING

That bed kind of set the tone for the room. I decided to paint all his walls Behr Weathered White with the exception of the wall with his bed which I painted with Behr Cracked Pepper. They are the prettiest colors together! The accent wall is such a beautiful shade of black! It’s almost a soft black that is cozy and inviting. It’s not stark or sterile at all.

For his bedding, we opted for Beddy’s bedding which has been so perfect!! He can easily make his bed with the zippers, it’s so soft and comfy, it washes so nicely, and the pattern is so perfect. You can use code ARATARI for 15% off their entire site. The bedding comes in so many colors/patterns as well as a variety of sizes. It really is the perfect bedding, especially for kiddos, if they are just learning to make their beds or have a bed that is tough to make. Check out Beddy's and be sure to use code ARATARI for 15% off!

Dresser

DRESSER

His dresser was a side of the road find! I gave it a fresh coat of paint. I used the Behr Cracked Pepper to compliment the accent wall. I love how it looks! On top I have his lamp, sound machine, and diffuser. I like to diffuse Lavender, Peace and Calming, or SleepyIze for bedtime with him. All smell so nice and help to calm him down.

I also added a snake plant, a prayer from my grandfather that he hand wrote when Dominic was born, a drawing of Dominic’s birth date, and some small bins to store his oils in.

Reading corner

DECOR

I created a little book corner with his name chair, bear rug from his nursery, and bear felt hamper full of books. It’s cozy and he can easily curl up with a blanket and look through books.

The opposite corner has a slouchy basket full of stuffed animals that he doesn’t use all the time.

Stuffed animals

Throughout his room, I have some small touches of decor such as a car canvas that I found in the Target dollar spot over the summer, a wooden sign my parents had made when I was pregnant with him, a mobile my sister made for my baby shower, and a wall hanging from my sister.

I still plan to add more to his room, but for now, this works. I want to add some curtains, a rug, and more decor to the walls.

Dominic loves his new room and loves to play with his legos or tinker toys. I think he feels like a big boy being able to play in his room.

I may or may not have shed a few tears on the first night we slept in the house and he slept in his big boy toddler room all by himself. The first night was a little rough as he kept wanting to get out of bed, but we have been progressively getting better each night.

I hope you enjoyed this little room reveal and as I add more things to his room, I will do more updates here! Be sure to watch my IG stories as I am constantly sharing house progress and updates.
