Baby Girl's Nursery Reveal

Baby Girl's Nursery Reveal

I am SO excited to reveal our baby girl’s nursery!

I shared a part of Gigi’s nursery with her DIY brushstroke wall HERE.

This nursery reveal for our baby girl has been a long time in the making and I love how it turned out with the pinks, whites, turquoise, and mustard!

Dresser

This reveal is so special to me because Giulietta never really had a nursery before. At our old house, she was in our room when she was born and then we moved her into the guest room which had her crib and her clothes/baby supplies. I never got to fully decorate a nursery for her and I would be lying if I said I wasn’t a little sad about it. I think I have made up for it though and I had SO much fun decorating and creating her nursery.

INSPIRATION FOR THE NURSERY

I wanted to do something colorful and fun for her room! I wanted it to feel sweet and spunky, just like Gigi’s personality. I wanted it to feel magical and cozy and a place for imaginations to run wild.

I knew that I wanted an accent wall in her room. I was thinking of doing wallpaper, but decided to do the brushstroke wall instead and I love how it turned out!

Before of nursery

BEFORE + PAINT

Gigi’s room is the smallest room in the house and I was nervous that her things wouldn’t all fit. They did fit and she has plenty of space to play still! Her room was white which you know I love, but I wanted a more colorful room for her so we decided to paint her walls Behr Rose Pottery. It’s the most gorgeous shade of pink! In some lights it looks really bright, but it’s more of a muted blush/mauve/pink shade. It’s a color that will grow with her as it’s not too young looking, I don’t think.

Crib

FURNITURE

We used her crib we had already for her and it fits so well in here. With all the colors, it’s nice to have a piece of white furniture to tone it all down a bit. Her mattress is a Newton Baby mattress which we love! It’s 100% breathable and washable and it gives us such peace of mind as she is a belly sleeper. Dominic had one for his crib too and both of my kids have loved this mattress.

Gigi with the bear

The dresser was actually in our living room at our old house. See it HERE. I love all the curvy details on it as it feels girly and pretty for a nursery. I had already painted it this turquoise/blue color so it fit perfectly with her room colors.

The chair was a side of the road find this past summer. I’m still debating if I want to paint it white or not, but I kind of like the black for some contrast.

End table

This little end table I gave some new life to a few months ago (see the before HERE). I love the blush pink color against the Behr Rose Pottery painted walls. This stores her shoes, tights, socks, hats, bibs, and clips.

ACCESSORIES + DECOR

Hanging on the accent wall is this rainbow backpack that my in laws got for Gigi for her birthday from Scandiborn. I also put her flower crown from her birthday party on the hook. Hanging in the corner is a string of bananas plant in a macrame hanger. Her little doll bed is kept in this corner with some of her favorite stuffed animals/dolls.

On the end table, I keep her flower and name puzzles. They are cute to display and she plays with them daily. In the rose gold basket, I have some of her books stored.

Above her crib, I hung up this beautiful tulip sign from Oh Sweet Skye. This was in her last room and I love it in here!

Dresser and crib

I love all of her dresser decor! This lamp was a gift to us from John Paul’s aunt. It goes so perfectly with her room, I love it! I also have her owl diffuser which doubles as a sound machine, her oils we diffuse at night (SleepyIze, Calm, Peace and Calming, etc), this beautiful rainbow watercolor art from my sister, the blue jars that my Mom and I found at an antique shop which houses her headbands, and some of my favorite vintage tea cups/pitchers and ironstone. I also have a peperomia plant, a succulent, and a string of pearls plant on the dresser. Her room gets a lot of natural light so her room gets loaded with plants! I added some books under the succulent to give it some more height too!

Dresser decor

Above the dresser, I have a vintage peg rail and I hung a couple of her sweaters from it that my Grandmother had made for me. I also strung up some flower string lights, an old hat that doesn’t fit her anymore, her flower crown from her party, and a headband that she wears a lot. I love this because it’s functional decor!

Hanging from her closet door, I put this cute mustard market bag and filled it with more stuffed animals. Next to her closet, I put this chunky woven heart pillow on the chair. Underneath I have her diapers and wipes stored for easy access to diaper changes. Above the chair, we hung this pretty flower print I found at an antique shop, 2 heart hooks found in the Target dollar spot, her beach towel, and a cute ‘I love you’ printed embroidery hoop.

Chair

I seriously love all of the details of her room. I put so much thought into her space and I hope that she loves it as much as I do! It’s still not completely done and I’m sure I will change things up as we go. I still need to get a rug and add a few more pieces of decor to her walls, but we will get there.
