If you follow me on Instagram, for the entire month of April, I shared a new oily tip of the day each day. I had so much fun sharing all different ways to use essential oils. I wanted to compile everything here on the blog so that it can be easily referred to, if need be.

Also to note, I only use Young Living essential oils so just be aware that not all oils are made the same and therefore cannot be used in the same way as I may explain below.

In no particular order, let’s get started!

30 ESSENTIAL OIL USES

  1. Diffuse Ylang Ylang and Geranium: smell delicious, very flowery, but also good for skin care

  2. Glow Roller: Use it every night after toning my skin, makes my skin so glowy, helps with fine lines and redness. Get the recipe HERE.

  3. Hair Support Spray: Helps to support hair growth and to promote shiny hair. Use every night on scalp and massage in.

    • Recipe: In a 2 oz spray bottle use 5 drops each: lavender, rosemary, cedarwood, geranium, tea tree, splash of witch hazel, and fill the rest with water

  4. Add a drop of Lemon Essential Oil into your water each day

  5. Put 5 drops of Eucalyptus Globulus into the shower as far away from the drain as possible for a relaxing and spa like experience

  6. Diffuse White Angelica at bedtime for sweet dreams and to get rid of negative emotions

  7. Pop a roller top on Vetiver and roll on the bottom of your feet at bedtime to help sleep more soundly

  8. Immunity Roller: Roll on our spines morning and night to help boost our immunity. Get the recipe HERE.

  9. Joy: use in the diffuser, add to your wrists for a perfume, roll over your heart to promote happy/joyful vibes

  10. Valor: Perfect for a perfume, yummy in the diffuser, encourages bravery, strength, and courage

  11. DIY Toner: Great for skincare. Use it after cleansing your face

    • Recipe: In a 2 oz spray bottle, add 20 drops of Geranium and fill the rest with witch hazel

  12. Tea Tree Oil: Add a couple drops to a Q Tip and apply to a blemish to help soothe it and get rid of it quicker

  13. Room Sprays: Non-toxic way to freshen up your home! Grab the recipes HERE

  14. Dryer balls: Use in place of dryer sheets to dry your clothes faster and make your clothes less staticy. Add 3 drops of Lavender, Gentle Baby, Citrus Fresh, or Lemon to each dryer ball and toss in the dryer with your wet clothes

  15. Add 1-2 drops of Seedlings Calm to the kid's diffusers at bedtime for a soothing night sleep

  16. Iced coffee: Add your favorite coffee, creamer, and ice to a glass then add 1-2 drops of Cinnamon Bark

  17. Cedarwood: diffuse at night for a calming effect at bedtime

  18. Add a drop of lime to your seltzer to jazz it up

  19. Use Lemon, Citrus Fresh, Purification, or Thieves on the vacuum filter for a refreshing smell throughout the house

  20. Lime: add 3-4 drops to salsa if you don’t have any limes on hand

  21. Panaway: smells like root beer! Put a roller top on it and roll it on sore muscles, great for a sore neck/shoulder from sleeping on it strangely

  22. Peace and Calming: Great for sleep, anxiety, and stress. Diffuse when there are temper tantrums going on

  23. Anthro Volcano Candle Diffuser Blend: 2 drops each of Northern Lights Black Spruce, Orange, Bergamot, and Geranium

  24. Relaxation Technique: Put 1-2 drops of your favorite EO (Lavender, Envision, Gentle Baby, Peace and Calming, Grounding, Stress Away are some of my faves to use) in the palm of your hand, rub your hands together, then cup your face and take 3-5 deep breaths

  25. Add a drop of Lavender to your shampoo to promote longer/thicker/shinier hair

  26. Sangria: Fave wine, frozen grapes, and 1 drop of Orange EO

  27. Spray Thieves Cleaner on your house plants to help keep bugs and fungus away

  28. Bug Spray: in a 2 oz spray bottle add 10 drops each of citronella, tea tree, lavender, and lemongrass, splash of witch hazel and fill the rest with water

  29. Lavender: add it to the diffuser at bedtime for a soothing aroma

  30. Perfume/Cologne: Make your own perfume and cologne using your fave oils. Make them in a roller bottle or a spray bottle. See some recipes HERE.

As you can see, you can use essential oils in so many ways! I hope this helps make your essential oil journey more fun and exciting. I always love finding new ways to use my oils.

The best way to get into oils is by ordering the starter kit as it gives you the best bang for your buck. It contains the most used oils and many of the uses above include a lot of the starter kit oils! You also get a diffuser so you can start diffusing right away.
