Painted cabinets are an easy way to update the kitchen that is budget friendly. Painting old cabinets is cost effective and makes a huge impact.
Colored cabinets have become a big trend lately and I love it! It gives kitchens a more unique and personal look. Don’t get me wrong, I love an all white kitchen, but colored cabinets have been catching my eye a lot lately.
The beauty of painted cabinets is that you can really choose any color and which cabinets you want to be painted. You could paint just the bottom cabinets. You could paint the island a different color from the rest of the space. You could use 2 different colors on the cabinets. The options are really endless.
I think this trend will stick around for a bit as everyone kind of gets used to it. It’s slowly making its way into more homes so we will see this trend for a while. FYI, this could even mean just painted white cabinets.
Refacing or redoing all the cabinets is not always feasible so painting them is a much easier and affordable option.
TRY THE TREND OF PAINTED CABINETS
I painted our kitchen cabinets last year and while it was a bit tedious, it was worth it! Our kitchen looks 100x better than before and has given this outdated space a much more modern look.
There are tons of ways to paint cabinets, but this is how I did ours, HERE. If you follow this process, you will be able to update your kitchen as well!
If you are not ready to take on a full kitchen cabinet makeover, you could start in a bathroom which would have a much smaller footprint. See if you like it and then take on the kitchen!
Our cabinets have held up pretty well! There are a few scratches, but overall, they look amazing. I could easily touch them up and you wouldn’t even know. I’m really the only one who would even notice the scratches. THey are also very easy to clean!
