Kitchen Shelves for Spring

Kitchen Shelves for Spring

I love updating our kitchen shelves from time to time and now it’s time for spring!

I love how my kitchen shelves turned out for spring!

Today, I am sharing our kitchen shelf as a part of the Celebrating Spring Home Tour hosted by Leen! If you are visiting from Ann, Dabbling and Decorating, welcome! Her porch is so pretty and welcoming for spring!

Our kitchen shelf is not only there for looks, but also for functionality. We have a small kitchen and need every inch of storage and space we can get. I love styling the shelf in a pretty way that is also full of useful everyday items.

I love giving the kitchen a refresh each season. Makes it more fun and gets my creative juices flowing!

SPRING KITCHEN SHELF DECOR

I always start by clearing off the shelf and the counter for a fresh slate. I clean everything really well and start gathering things I know I want to include on the shelf and countertop.

I love using a color palette for each season. For spring, I like using plants, pinks, wood tones, and whites.

I started with the countertop and then moved to the shelf. I love having my big goldfish plant on the countertop. It gets all the light it needs and seems to really thrive right here so I didn’t want to move it. I love it in the vintage crock too!

We have an outlet on the wall so I always like to cover it up with art or cutting boards. Layering cutting boards and hot plates is a fun way to add texture and to cover up the outlets. On the right side of the counter, I wanted to balance the green from the goldfish plant so I put my favorite canisters that have almond flour and oats in.

I love apples and having them on display makes them easier to snack on. I put them in my favorite colander.

Now, moving onto the shelf, I wanted to balance out the bottom countertop. I put my chain of hearts on the right side of the shelf to balance out the goldfish plant on the left side. It was also time to move the chain of hearts from the kitchen window sill since it was getting too long.

On the left side, I put my pink pedestal. I love the height it adds and the color for the spring season. On top, I put my measuring cups.

I love having bowls and plates at easy access on the shelf since we are always cooking. I pulled out my black bowls to incorporate the black from the shelf brackets and the chain of hearts planter.

A pretty art print that I found at a thrift store is perfect for anchoring the shelf in the middle. The colors are perfect for spring!

Next to the art print, I put our pink plates. These are our small, salad/side plates, but we use them a lot for lunch so it’s perfect!

I love how our kitchen shelves came out for spring! They feel lighter and refreshed.
