Dominic is 3 years old today! He has grown up so much this past year and has learned a lot! We are so proud of him and love this little guy so much!!!!

If you want to read his birth story, grab some tissues, and read it HERE.

There has been a lot of change for us this year with moving and Dominic has not missed a beat. He has adjusted so well and is loving the new house, his new big boy bed, and his yard.

PERSONALITY + DEVELOPMENT

I love Dominic’s personality. He is sweet and charming, funny, kind, laid back, and happy. He is such a thoughtful little boy and is so nice to everyone!

Dominic is a little chatterbox. He will talk your ear off and will even talk to himself if no one is around. I love listening to these conversations, they are so cute and creative.

His imagination is really starting to grow! He plays all different games and things with his cars and trucks. He likes to pretend to eat different foods and to serve John Paul and I coffee….does he see us drinking too much, coffee?! LOL

He is so independent. He brushes his teeth by himself, he’s fully potty trained (with the exception of at night), he can get himself his cups/bowls for meal times, he can put his shoes on and take them off, he can pull his pants down and pull them up, and more. It’s been such a big learning year for him and he really feels like a big boy now rather than a baby.

Dominic is loving his new big boy bed, see it HERE! He got his bed when we moved into our new house last month and he is doing so well. The first night we had to keep explaining to him to stay in bed, but since then, he’s done great!

He loves Giulietta! He is very sweet with her and loves to play with her. She watches him and wants to keep up so badly with him. He has his moments and will be rough and tough with her, but he always apologizes and gives her a big hug and kiss and says ‘I love you, little miss.’ SO SWEET!!!

Dominic loves playing with his cars, trucks, buses, train tracks, puzzles, tinker toys, and legos. He is starting to like coloring and painting more. He loves to help me cook and bake which makes me a bit sweaty, but it’s always worth it!

He’s becoming very opinionated and knows what he wants and when he wants it. We have been learning manners and the proper way to ask for something.

Meal times have been interesting as one day he will like something and the next day ‘it’s gross!’ We have been giving him the choice of what he wants for lunch and that seems to help and make it more fun for him.

He has so much energy and I wish I could bottle it up for myself. He loves taking walks and running around outside in the yard. He loves climbing the pikler triangle and going up and down the ramp. He loves playing with the soccer ball and hitting the baseball off the tee. He recently learned how to throw a frisbee and has been loving practicing that.

He’s definitely testing his boundaries and figuring out what is right from wrong. We are doing our best to explain the world to him and why he can’t do certain things when he wants. Lots of learning about the consequences of actions too. This year has been a big teaching year for him and John Paul and I.

DOMINIC’S FAVORITE:

TV SHOW: Puppy Dog Pals, Paw Patrol

COLOR: Yellow

FOOD: Ice cream, chicken nuggets, mac and cheese, grilled cheese, olives, grapes, PB sandwich, almonds, popsicles

TOYS: Pikler triangle, matchbox cars/trucks, puzzles, legos, balls

We are so lucky to have this little guy! Watching him grow, learn, explore, imagine, and develop is seriously the best. He is constantly keeping us on our toes and we wouldn’t have it any other way. He is the best big brother and son and we love him endlessly.

I hope he never changes from the happy go lucky kid that he is! We love you so much, little bear! Happy 3rd birthday, my love!!!!!!!!
