During the spring, I like to simplify our home as I like to do some spring cleaning. I want our home to feel light and fresh and ready for the new season.

Today, I am a part of the Celebrating Spring blog hop hosted by Leen, Sand Dollar Lane! There are lots of talented ladies sharing all different spring ideas this week so be sure to check them out at the end of the post. If you are hopping over from Suzy, Worthing Court, welcome! Isn’t her centerpiece gorgeous?

I kept the coffee table very simple, but still fresh for spring. I like adding some small touches to bring in the new seasons. Since we have 2 little ones running around, keeping lots of things on the coffee table can be tricky. This little centerpiece is super easy to move when little fingers want to grab it which is so convenient!

I love when a home is functional and beautiful and that’s what I think this coffee table centerpiece is! It’s pretty and easy and perfect for spring.

COFFEE TABLE CENTERPIECE STYLING

I think a home can never have enough plants so I had to include a plant in the centerpiece. I used my hoya that has some pink on it which I think feels so springy.

I also put some dried lavender in a glass vase for some height. This lavender smells AMAZING! This was part of my bridesmaids’ bouquet at our wedding almost 6 years ago. I am constantly moving it around the house and now it’s hanging in the living room.

To round out the grouping, I used this vintage white bowl and put some battery operated candles in it. We don’t use real candles in our house, but these battery operated ones are great to give that cozy glow that I love. I think twinkle lights should be used year round, not just at Christmas time. I love how cozy it makes the house, especially at night. They are a little hygge and I love it!

CENTERPIECE TIPS

When building a centerpiece, I always take into consideration the shape of the table. This helps to determine the size and scale of the items I will need. I also like to build a centerpiece for a coffee table in sets of 3. It is pleasing to the eye.

I have a whole post on tips for creating tablescapes and centerpieces, HERE, if you want to take a peek.

I haven’t done much else with the rest of the living room as I am still figuring that out, but it does feel kind of springy with the lighter decor.

I hope this inspires you to find a little plant, maybe a dried flower arrangement, and some candles to put together this simple spring centerpiece in your home! Now be sure to head over to Meegan’s home, What Meegan Makes, to see her pretty spring tea tablescape!
