2nd Trimester Pregnancy Update

2nd Trimester Pregnancy Update

I thought it may be time to give another pregnancy update now that I am past the 2nd trimester!

See why we decided to have a 3rd baby, HERE.

This pregnancy update is all about how I have been feeling, how we are preparing for baby, and how baby is doing while in the 2nd trimester.

I started the 3rd trimester on Friday as I’m now 28 weeks along. How crazy?! This time is flying as usual.

I wanted to give a little update as to what’s been going on since I haven’t in a while. The second trimester was really nice. I love the 2nd trimester of pregnancy. All the fun new developments from seeing the baby on the ultrasound a couple times to finding out the gender to feeling the baby move a lot. Plus, all the energy helps!

2ND TRIMESTER UPDATE

I had a great 2nd trimester with this baby. It was pretty standard and normal, which is amazing. We did end up finding out the gender, even though we had planned to wait for delivery. I just couldn’t hold out and I wanted to start clearing out some old baby clothes that we didn’t need anymore. Plus, I thought it would be fun to involve the kiddos in a little gender reveal. See what we did, HERE.

The anatomy scan went well. Everything is growing and looking as it should. We did have to go back for a second ultrasound because she wasn’t cooperating when they were trying to get photos of her heart. Thankfully, all is well and her heart looks good.

We didn’t add too much to our baby things as we have most of what we need already. See what we are going to use with this little one, HERE. I did get a couple new outfits, but that’s really it.

The baby moves A LOT! She is very active. I find she seems to move a lot at night and right before lunchtime. She also likes to make her presence known when we are doing some fun family activity, almost as if she wants to let me know that she is there too, it’s really cute!

I had lots of energy during the second trimester. I felt really good and healthy too. I did get worn out by the end of the night, but figure that’s par for the course with having 2 other babes at home to take care of too, on top of work and life.

I didn’t crave anything in particular this trimester either. I found I was better with eating smaller meals/snacks rather than just having a big meal.

Overall, I really enjoyed my second trimester with my last baby. I can’t believe we are already in the 3rd trimester. It’s kind of surreal that this is the home stretch with my last baby, but I am loving soaking it all up.

The kids are getting so excited and we are trying to prepare them as best as we can. I want to start thinking of little gifts we can them from their new sister. If you have any good ideas, let me know!

Thank you for all of your loving support throughout this pregnancy, you are so kind and thoughtful!

Here’s to the 3rd trimester!!!!!
