Traditional Fall Dining Room

Fall is one of my favorite times of year to decorate for and typically I go a little more neutral, but this year I wanted to do some very traditional fall decorating in the dining room!

You can see what I did last year for our Fall home tour HERE.

I love how our dining room turned out with all my traditional fall decor!

I am SO excited because not only am I giving a tour of our dining room today, but I am part of a fall home tour blog hop with 11 other super talented ladies!

If you are hopping over from Bethany, Crisp Collective, WELCOME, so happy you're here! Isn't her home gorgeous?! I love it!

I love decorating our dining room.  It has a lot of fun spaces to style and restyle!

This year for Fall, I kept it pretty simple and traditional in here.  I was so inspired by our trip to the sunflower field in August and wanted to use the colors from the sunflowers for my Fall decor.

I created this cute little sign with one of my favorite fall quotes on it along with a photo from the sunflower field.  It kind of set the tone for the whole space!  You can print one for your home too, CLICK HERE.

Mums in the golden and burnt red hues are what I was drawn to and I sprinkled them throughout the dining room!

We actually eat in here daily so when I create tablescapes, I like to make them useable and functional.  You can read my tablescape tip HERE

I added the plates and mugs so that you could get the full feel of the whole tablescape.  A little pinecone at each place setting adds a little more fall charm!

I love the ambiance of candles so I lined the table with all different size pillar candles.  For the centerpiece, I used an old metal milk crate and put 2 burnt red mums and 2 faux pumpkins inside.  I love that the centerpiece is larger and then tapers out with the candles.

I used some wheat stems on the cabinet along with my toolbox filled with some faux sage bushes and pumpkins.  The copper vases added another element of the traditional fall colors I gravitated towards.

On the barn door, I used a little pumpkin garland to dress it up a bit.  I put an old, white, chippy chair in front of the door and added a galvanized basin filled with some decorative pepper plants.  The peppers tie in to the mums as they are all the same colors.

I wanted the dining room to feel very traditional so I went with the typical oranges, reds, and creams which are so out of my comfort zone, but I love how it turned out!

It smells like Fall in here and now I just need to start baking some apple crisp once we go apple picking in a couple weeks!

Now it's time to hop to Becca's, Adventures in Decorating, stunning home! I can't wait for you to see what she has done for Fall!

After checking out Becca, be sure to swing by all of these amazing blogs to see what these ladies have done!  SO MUCH FALL INSPIRATION FOR YOU!
