Harvest Centerpiece

Harvest Centerpiece

With fall comes lots of beautiful harvests which inspired me to create this centerpiece.

This harvest centerpiece is a fun way to display some of the season’s best things!

When I think of fall, I think of all the bountiful harvests that come with the season. I wanted to create a harvest themed centerpiece that could easily be swapped out for any fresh produce you have this fall.

Using things I already had around the house, I layed a bunch of fall goodies to create this centerpiece.

CENTERPIECE IDEA

I love creating centerpieces. They are fun and creative for me. I like to follow one simple ‘rule’ when creating centerpieces which is to create a centerpiece that follows the shape of your table. For instance, since my table is rectangular, I like to create tablescapes that are long, rather than square or circular. I think it looks more balanced.

I first put down a large vintage bread board. I like to have a base for the centerpiece to sit on top of so that everything is anchored.

I like to start in the middle and work my way out. I like the tallest thing to be in the middle too. I used my dried eucalyptus and flowers in an amber jar as the middle focal point. I love the height and natural elements they bring in.

Cornucopia

On the right, I put a cornucopia basket and filled it with seasonally themed napkins. Easy to grab when eating meals!

To the left, I put down a pumpkin shaped platter and put my philodendron plant along with some gourds from the farmer’s market.

I also layered in a pumpkin tureen, a leaf shaped bowl, and more gourds.

It’s all very simple, but I love how it turned out. It’s practical and can be easily moved if we need to. I love all the natural elements and how it feels like fall.

Centerpieces don’t have to be over the top, they can be a few of your favorite things layered together to make something beautiful!
