Vintage 4th of July Front Porch

This post is in partnership with Christmas Tree Shops andThat!. All opinions here are my own.

This year for the 4th of July, I wanted to do a vintage theme for our front porch!

See my favorite tablescape tip HERE.

This vintage 4th of July Front Porch can easily be transitioned to a summer decorated porch too!

When it comes to Summer decorating, I typically like to keep it pretty simple and easy.  I will add in a few flags around Independence Day to spruce up our outdoor living areas to celebrate the holiday, but that is usually it.

This year I wanted to add in some more pieces to our front porch especially since we just updated the steps. I still kept it simple and light, but added a few more 4th of July decor pieces to bring the porch to life. All of the July 4th decor is from Christmas Tree Shops andThat! because they have such a wide variety of items! I don't love decorating with red, but I did sprinkle in some red touches, mixed with a lot of blues and whites. I love all things vintage, but I used a lot of newer items to decorate the porch, so when shopping I tried to find muted tones of linens, flags, decor pieces to look as if they have been aged and used for a long time. You'll see the flags are all different shades of blue and I chose them purposely so they wouldn't all look brand new. When Dominic and I went shopping last week, we found so many fun pieces so I'm inviting you to take a little tour of our porch and all the goodies we found at Christmas Tree Shops andThat!.

Let's start on the dining side of the porch!  I wanted to keep it pretty casual as I feel summertime dining should always be a casual, BBQ feel.  I found this pretty, muted red, white, and blue tablecloth, the 'wooden' melamine plates, white napkins, and star pitcher at Christmas Tree Shops andThat!.  I love how the wooden look alike plates break up all the red, white and blue for a neutral touch.  I didn't even add in a centerpiece so that the food could be placed in the center and passed among our friends or family. I just love the casual vibes over here and I imagine us grilling up some yummy food and lounging on the porch all afternoon sipping iced tea and lemonade.

Now moving over to the doorway.  Flags are the perfect way to instantly add a July 4th feel to any space.  I found these cutie little flags and placed them in the hanging basket to create a spin on a wreath.  I stuck a flag into the topiary to add a pop of color.  Lanterns scream summertime to me so I added this set of 3 lanterns next to the door to bring in some different textures.  For all 3 of these amazing lanterns, it cost under $50 from Christmas Tree Shops andThat!, such a steal!!  I added in some LED candles also found at Christmas Tree Shops andThat! which created the cutest vignette.  They look so pretty all lit up at night! Keep reading to see them at night ;)

Let's swing over to the living room side of the porch now that we have filled our bellies on the dining side.  I wanted it to feel extra relaxing over here so I didn't add too much except for these fun flag lanterns I used as a centerpiece for the coffee table.  I love how rustic and vintage they look as they are a little distressed and have a cute jute rope on the top.  Another amazing Christmas Tree Shops andThat! find!  I used some pretty red roses from our garden to bring in some red touches.  In the apple baskets, I stuck some more flags and I love how they blow in the wind to create such a whimsical feel.  Easy, breezy, and enjoyable!

I also added some string lights and the white outdoor curtains to create a vintage and laid back feel out here.  I love when the curtains billow in the wind and create such an airy look, plus they give us a little privacy.  The string lights create such a magical look at night and we love doing some porch sitting at night as the sun is setting!

If you haven't been to a Christmas Tree Shops andThat! store or website lately, you have to go check them out! They have so many great things that would fit any budget or style. Their coastal selection of decor items is so fun if you had a beach house or love a beachy style! They have great outdoor dining pieces like plates, mugs, placemats, silverware, etc. If you are like me and love going out antiquing and picking, you would love Christmas Tree Shops andThat! because their assortment is always changing making it feel like you are treasure hunting. I honestly could have bought the whole store ha!

One last look at our porch at night, it's so charming and we love spending time out here!

Thank you for stopping by the blog!
