Personalized Gift Idea

This post is sponsored by CreateMyCookbook; however, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

I created this special cookbook for our family and it is the perfect personalized gift idea!

By using the services from CreateMyCookbook, I made this personalized cookbook that our family will treasure forever and it would make the perfect gift idea for loved ones!

I’m so excited to share this cookbook with you today! I was able to take all of our family’s favorite recipes and turn them into a cookbook that we can quickly refer to when we want to make one of our favorite meals!

Have you heard of CreateMyCookbook? If not, it is such a fun service that allows you to take your family’s recipes and turn them into a physical cookbook. You can customize the entire book to make it work for your family’s needs.

If your family has tons of recipes passed down through the generations or you have a family member who loves to cook, CreateMyCookbook is the perfect gift idea!

HOW TO MAKE A PERSONALIZED COOKBOOK

For our cookbook, I used all the recipes I put on my blog which are some of our family’s favorite recipes! It was so easy to create using CreateMyCookbook’s designer. There is a full tutorial you can take before creating your cookbook that walks you through all the different options and how to build your own cookbook. It was foolproof!

If you have a ton of hand written recipes, there is no need to type them all in yourself either! CreateMyCookbook has a service called WeTypeIt that will help you upload all the recipes and put them into your cookbook. Such a time saver! This is perfect for all those hand me down recipes!

For my cookbook, I went with my own theme rather than following a pre-made theme. I chose a black background for the front of our cookbook along with a photo of our family in front of our new home. I created a dedication page to my family, a table of contents page, and different section dividers based on recipe type. I also chose the font and colors of the text. It was easy to keep the same font and colors throughout with the way the CreateMyCookbook designer is set up which was so convenient!

When I was done designing my cookbook, I got to preview it and make sure everything was correct. It’s nice being able to review before actually purchasing so that you can ensure everything is how you want it.

After reviewing, you can purchase a variety of different copies of the cookbook. I got the Hardback Wire-O binding style with premium paper. It’s such a nice quality book and I am so happy with it!

GIFTING IDEA

This would be such a fun gift to give to a family member who loves to cook and has a bunch of recipes. You could ask them to send you their favorites and have them turned into a cookbook.

You could take your family’s heirloom recipes and turn them into a cookbook for the whole family to enjoy. It would be such a nice piece of family ‘history’ to have as a keepsake. I know my family has lots of recipes from older generations that would be so nice in a cookbook for easy access and use. This way the recipes don’t ever get lost or forgotten.

There are so many fun ways you can gift this to loved ones. It’s something they will love and treasure forever! You could include old family photos of you all cooking too which would be a fun surprise to add for your gift recipient!

I love our cookbook and I am sure my kiddos will enjoy making these recipes for years to come! Right now, they love looking at the photos and seeing what we can make together!

This would be the perfect personalized gift idea. I think your family or friends would love this! It’s fun to create and even more fun to gift!
