Giulietta is 1

Giulietta is 1 today!

I love going back to read her birth story, HERE.

My little baby, Giulietta is 1 today so I thought I would share an update with what she’s been up to!

I seriously. cannot believe it has already been 1 year since our little baby girl was born! Where did this year go?!

This year has been a wild one, that’s for sure! Almost half of her life has been spent during a pandemic which will be something to talk about in the future, right?!

I love doing these 1 year old updates so that I can refer back and see what the babies were doing at age 1. Giulietta has grown and learned so much these past few months, it’s so amazing watching her grow into the little girl she is now!

Giulietta is around 20 lbs and 28-29” tall (if I had to guess!). She wears mainly 9 month and 12 month clothing. We’re excited for a new fall wardrobe soon!

Gigi has 2 bottom teeth and I just noticed that she has at least 1 more tooth coming in on top right now. She hasn’t really been bothered by teething at all. She hasn’t even really been drooling that much.

She eats like a champ! She eats pretty much everything we offer her. She likes eating with us and having snacks with Dominic. She started whole milk this week and loves it! I’m still nursing her right before bed and I’m not quite sure when that will stop?

Giulietta is a climber! She climbs the stairs, climbs on the little chair, climbs on pillows—nothing is safe! We got her a Pikler triangle for her birthday and I’m so excited for her to use it. Dominic was not a climber so this is new territory for us.

She walks while holding on to anything she can grab. She loves to hold our hands and walk around. Even Dominic tries to help her walk. I think she will be walking very soon as she has taken a couple steps by herself.

G has been sleeping so well (knock on wood!). She wasn’t the best sleeper for a while, but for the past 3 months she has been so great! She takes 2 naps a day too.

She loves her dolls/stuffed animals, puzzle pieces, and Dominic’s cars. She likes to play in the pool and the bath. She loves to look at books and to crawl all over the place.

Gigi has the most amazing personality. She’s a little spit fire—she’s sassy, funny, and strong willed. She’s such a little love bug and will just crawl right up and sit on your lap. She makes such silly faces and will copy whatever we do. She is trying to talk with Dominic and will make the same sounds that he makes. She laughs with Dominic constantly and wants to do everything that he does. Their little bond is the best!

Giulietta is such a happy baby! She hardly cries except for when we don’t feed her fast enough or if we are changing her diaper when she wants to play.

Happy 1st birthday to our precious doll baby, Giulietta Rose! We love you SO much and we cannot wait to see what you do in this world. You are so brave, sweet, loving, and happy and we hope you never change! You are such a great little sister and you are an amazing addition to our family! We are so lucky you are OURS!

I never knew my heart could swell as big as it has since having Gigi a year ago. My heart grows with each passing day being the Mama to Dominic and Giulietta.

Becoming a family of 4 has been the best thing ever! I’m so grateful to have John Paul by my side and to watch him be such a caring and loving Daddy to these babies.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GIULIETTA, WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH!
