Fall Into Our Homes Home Tour

With Fall being only a few short days away, I have teamed up with some amazing bloggers to bring you a Fall 2017 home tour.  All of their home tours are linked at the end of this post so be sure to check them out!

I love decorating for Fall and you can see my fall tablescape from last year HERE.  Also, I used my DIY painted pumpkins for part of this tour, see how to make those HERE.

This fall into our homes home tour is a filled with lots of inspiration and I am so excited to be a part of it!

I decided this year I would go a little nontraditional when it comes to Fall decorating.  The colors in my home are cooler whites, creams, grays, & blues so I wanted to keep with that theme throughout the majority of our home.  The only exception is when you step into the Sun Room.

The Sun Room is full of warmer tones because of the built ins, trim, & beams on the ceiling.  Being that they are all a natural wood tone, I kept with a more traditional Fall color scheme in there. This was fun for me as I typically lean towards a more neutral pallet in decor.

You will notice that in almost every room I used wheat steams to add texture & natural elements to each space.  I also used lots of lamb's ear & sage bushes throughout the house.  I just think these types of greenery are the perfect color for all seasons & can work with all sorts of decor.

So without further ado, let's get on with the tour!

Dining Room:

For our dining room, I wanted to play off the colors of the walls which are Behr Silver Marlin.  It is kind of a chameleon color & looks different depending on the lighting, but it's a light grayish blue color & I love it.  I used my DIY Painted Pumpkin, mixed in some real pumpkins, & some Target Dollar Spot pumpkins.  I kept with the blue/gray, cream, & white hues in here to tie everything together.

Living Room:

Moving along to the living room, the theme of whites/creams/grays carries through.  I did use a little more tans in here because I had some pumpkins from last year's Target Dollar Spot that I wanted to use.

The shutters framing the antique gate are a new addition to the living room.  I had found these shutters months ago at a local antique shop & never found a good spot for them, until I decided to hang them up flanking the gate.  I love them & they fill up this large wall so well.  I hung some wheat from them to add in the natural element that I think our living room needed.

Lots of greenery in here to freshen up the space & it feels so cozy in here.  Can't forget about Freddy making his modeling appearance either :)

Sun Room:

Now, the Sun Room is where I branched out a bit.  Maybe not for some, but when I typically lean more towards whites/grays going with a more brown/orange theme is a little different.  I actually love that I decided to do this in here because it really plays off the natural wood tones.

This room feels very rustic & warm to me.  It feels very Fall & I love that.

I did a fun wall treatment in here. by hanging some wheat steams, pine cones, & mini wreaths. This wall is so big & I love switching it up each season.  I used clear fishing wire so that the strings would not be seen & the pieces looked as if they were almost floating on the wall.  It was so easy, but I think it made a big impact in the Sun Room.

I used 2 orange baby pumpkins in here.  John Paul was adamant that we have some orange pumpkins for Freddy & Baby A, so I could not deny any of my boys.  I do think they are cute & work perfectly in here!
