Christmas Reading Nook

This year, I decided to decorate the reading nook for Christmas.

I love how our Christmas reading nook turned out in our playroom!

I always love to put out the kids’ Christmas books—see some of our favorites, HERE. This year, I wanted to decorate the little reading nook for them too so it all feels merry and festive!

I love this magical little space down in our playroom. It’s whimsical and fun so it’s perfect for the kids to explore and read books.

We have had this rocking chair for a couple years from Raymour & Flanigan and it’s so cozy. I love having it down here in the playroom to read books on with the kids.

I kept all of the artwork on the wall, but swapped out a big initial ‘A’ I had hanging up for a wreath. On the shelf, I added some Christmas signs that I have had for years. I love these signs and their sayings as O Holy Night is one of my favorite Christmas songs.

I like the layered look of them and then I added some antique corbels in front. I thought the corbels kind of looked like a tree, what do you think?

I added a cute Christmas pillow to the rocking chair with a big cozy blanket.

Now, I just want to sit here all day and read books! The kids also love it, which makes it all worth it!
