IN A HOLIDAZE by Christina Lauren

This book kind of confused me. It’s a holiday themed storyline which was really cute. The main character kept getting into some sort of accident and going back in time to relive her family’s vacation until she was finally living in the moment and trying to enjoy her life. After she started doing that, the accidents stopped occurring. A sweet love story, but it wasn’t my favorite.

ONE DAY IN DECEMBER by Josie Silver

I love Josie SIlver’s writing style. It was quite a long book with lots of extra parts that I didn’t feel were completely necessary. The main characters see each other through a bus window and without knowing have been looking for each other until he ends up dating her BFF and finally meeting. 10 years span across the book with all different relationships and hurdles to get through to finally see if they can make this work.

THE PROPOSAL by Jasmine Guillory

I absolutely love Jasmine Guillory books! I read all of her books this month and I love them! They each correlate with similar characters, but you really don’t have to read them in any certain order. This one is about a girl who gets proposed to at a baseball game which she was not expecting and turns down the proposal. A strangers sweeps in to help her get out of the media and camera’s attention which leads to a friendship and relationship between the two. Really loved this storyline!

HOW TO FAIL AT FLIRTING by Denise Williams

Naya sets out to try out dating again and meets Jake where they attempt a one night stand that doesn’t end up working out. They find themselves enjoying each other’s company. She has an abusive ex boyfriend who nearly ruined her career as a professor. Come to find out, Jake could now be in charge of the future of her career. Their relationship is sweet and full of love. Trigger warning: abuse.

DIRTY ROWDY THING by Christina Lauren

This is the 2nd book in a series. The first one I read last month and I was excited for this one! This book is very spicy throughout! I love how they go from passionate lovers to finding a deeper relationship. Their needs of wanting to help each other through their struggles becomes the focus and I love how this evolves their relationship. Really love this series and can’t wait to read the 3rd one!

THE HATING GAME by Sally Thorne

This was a fun read! I read this so fast! Knowing it was a movie, I was picturing Lucy Hale as the main character which was fun. This is an enemies turned lovers type story. I loved how there wasn’t a huge conflict between the two as they went from hating each other to loving each other. Also, watched the movie and I liked it. I did enjoy the book better, but I think that’s always the case!

PARTY OF TWO by Jasmine Guillory

Another amazing read by Guillory! I loved these characters. A congressman and a lawyer meet by chance and the story evolves from there. Figuring out how to be with each other when they live on opposites sides of the country. I love their love story!

ONE NIGHT ON THE ISLAND by Josie Silver

This was a brilliantly written story! A girl from England sets out to a remote island near Ireland to self marry at age 30 which is more a symbol of investing and loving herself better. A man from Boston sets out for the island to visit his family’s heritage while trying to figure out his marital problems. Stuck in the same house together, they learn a lot about each other and how they aren’t really that different!

THE WEDDING DATE by Jasmine Guillory

Alexa and Drew meet in an elevator where he invites her to be his date to a wedding! He’s from LA and she lives in Berkley and they try to navigate a long distance relationship. A really fun love story that kind of sets the stage for the rest of the Jasmine Guillory books. Loved this one!

SECOND FIRST IMPRESSIONS by Sally Thorne

I read this with my sister and it was a cute read! it’s witty with the main character giving her thoughts in between the character’s conversations. She is a young woman who basically runs an elderly living center. The new owner’s son moves in to learn the value of working. She’s young, but seems almost as old as the people living in the center. He’s rough and edgy. Very different, yet their friendship grows into more!

LOVE AND OTHER WORDS by Christina Lauren

This might be one of my favorite books! Truly amazing and creative writing. If you read one book from this list, read this one! After 10 years of not seeing each other, childhood friends and lovers run into each other and rekindle their friendship and eventually learn more and more about the devastating day 10 years prior. I did not see the ending happening and truly loved it! You have to read this book!

THE SPANISH LOVE DECEPTION by Elena Armas

This book was longggggg! Another enemies to lovers type read. She needs a date to her sister’s wedding in Spain and he volunteers even though they seem to hate each other. They learn they don’t really hate each other and their relationship turns into something really sweet and endearing.

THE WEDDING PARTY by Jasmine Guillory

This was the first Jasmine book I read! I love Theo and Maddie and their story. Theo works with Maddie’s BFF and they have always tolerated each other for their BFF’s sake. After realizing they are both going to be in the wedding, they try to work through their feelings and realize there is a lot more than meets the eye. I loved this book!

WHILE WE WERE DATING by Jasmine Guillory

Anna is a famous celebrity and Ben works for an ad agency. She’s trying to land a big movie role and since her and Ben seem to hit it off, they try to be a couple to make the media go wild. Only to realize their feelings are more real than they thought. Cute storyline, I loved it!
