Amy Howard at Home Paint Review

Recently, I received some paint from Amy Howard at Home. I did this little paint project a couple weekends ago for my closet makeover.

I am definitely a painting lover! It is so therapeutic for me. When I received this paint, I was excited to try it out as I had not used her chalk paint before. It came all wrapped up in the cutest box with all the goodies I would need to complete a project. It even had step by step directions to tell you exactly how to apply the paint & different waxes.

I had an old teal blue console table that was never really seen in one of our hallways that I thought would be perfect for my closet.  I grabbed all the necessities to paint & got to work one Saturday afternoon.  It took me a couple hours including a few breaks in between.

BEFORE IS BELOW:

The color I used is called Chelsea Square. This was very similar to other chalk paint I have used, but what I really enjoyed was the 2 different waxes. I first used the light wax & then the dark wax. This gave it such an antique look. In between the 2 waxes, I used their Dust of Ages which gave the table so much character! I love it! It made somewhat of a mess, but I just vacuumed it all up & it was like nothing ever happened. If we had nicer weather that day, I probably would have done this part outside. I truly loved this process & how it aged my piece. I will definitely be using this technique again!

Overall, I loved working with this paint & wax.  Very easy to use, dries quick, & looks amazing!  I would highly recommend this to you!

What do you think of this new console table?  I think it fits in so well with my new closet makeover.

Thank you for stopping by the blog today!
