I like to lighten things up a bit during the spring in our bedroom. The nights can still be pretty chilly, so I don’t take down all the warm bedding just yet.

I love having cozy layers all year round, but I do like to change up sheets to bring in some spring vibes. We may not use the layers of blankets or duvets, but I love the look of a full and cozy bed so I keep it all.

LIGHTEN UP THE BEDDING

The easiest way to make a bed feel more springy is to change up the sheets. A lot of time we use flannel or heavier cotton sheets in the winter to stay warm and cozy. During the spring, I like to bring in some lighter weight options along with some patterned ones.

Since I have the pink quilt which already feels very springy, I didn’t change too much, but added in these dainty floral sheets. They are still kind of neutral in color, but the pattern is a fun pop peeking out. I love anything floral so this is the perfect touch.

PILLOW SWAP

I also switched up the pillows and added some more floral pillows to play off the sheets. I kept the camel pillows because I think they are a nice neutral for the colored pillows to lay against.

The big pillows are a nice filler for our bed which has a pretty high headboard. I think they can really transition from season to season depending on what they are styled with.

BLANKET AND DUVET OPTIONS

I changed out the blanket for a less chunky option. I still loving a blanket layered at the end of the bed so I opted for this thin blanket to give some texture and interest, but doesn’t add a ton of weight.

I keep our duvet on year round. I like the feeling of a duvet while sleeping. Ours doesn’t get too hot in the summer and if it did, we can just use the quilt. The white is fresh and pretty for all seasons and with the swapping of the rest of the bedding, it works all year.

With these small changes, the bedroom feels lighter and ready for the warmer weather!
