Modern Fall Tablescape

Using beautiful pieces from Christmas Tree Shops andThat!, I created a modern twist for a fall tablescape in the dining room.

I had so much fun thinking outside the box for this modern fall tablescape idea.

I’m so excited to be decorating our new dining room for Fall!!!! This year I went a bit more modern to fit the vibes of our new house and I love how it came out!

Using decor from Christmas Tree Shops AndThat!, I found everything I needed to create a warm and inviting dining room all set for Fall! They have so many cute and affordable things which made it so easy to get everything I needed. Their new tagline, ‘Every Season. Every Reason.’ is so true as they really have everything you need for each season! I love shopping at Christmas Tree Shops AndThat! each season as it is constantly changing which makes it so fun to hunt for new pieces.

INSPIRATION

The first thing I like to do at Christmas Tree Shops AndThat! is take a walk around the store to get ideas and then go back and shop for what I actually want to use. This time was a bit different since when I first walked in, I found this gorgeous patterned pillow!!! It caught my eye right away and I knew I had to base my dining room decor around this pillow’s colors. I love it so much!

From there, I was able to come up with a plan for my modern tablescape. I love mixing a few styles together and this time I’m doing a bit modern, bohemian, and traditional. I love that I can find all of these styles at Christmas Tree Shops AndThat! because it makes it a one stop shop for my decorating needs.

CENTERPIECE

We have a pretty long table so I always like to try and create a long centerpiece to fill it up. I first laid down this mustard striped table runner. I love the ruffle details on the ends. For the center, I placed this oblong basket and filled it with all different pumpkins. I used a variety of sizes and colors to compliment my color scheme. I love how they cascade and flow out of the basket.

I added a pop of greenery from our big maple tree out in our yard. I love the natural feel it adds. I also layered in some twinkle lights from Christmas Tree Shops AndThat! for some added cozy feels.

Around the basket, I added a few large ceramic pumpkins. They add some warmth from the glow of the battery operated lights. I also placed these pumpkin bowls around the table which I used last year, but they were perfect to incorporate this year as well. I love the colors of all the pumpkins together.

The pumpkin platter is the perfect serving tray for any treat this fall such as scones, muffins, cookies, or breads.

PLACE SETTING

I love designing place settings! There are so many options at Christmas Tree Shops AndThat! which makes it so fun to browse and find pieces that will work best.

I like to layer different colors and textures when creating the place setting. I first found these beautiful place mats to bring in some more color. I love the mix of patterns with the coordinating colors for Fall.

I always love a plain white dish as it’s the perfect break in color and texture and it keeps the place setting balanced. On top of the white plate, I found these cute pumpkin plates.

These beautiful white glasses are vintage with a touch of whimsy. I love the details on them.

Lastly, I love to add these silver and gold flatware to the place setting. They are simple and a little twist on the classic flatware.

DINING ROOM DECOR

I love the lamps from Christmas Tree Shops AndThat!. They are priced so well and they are beautiful! I love this light wood floor lamp. It perfectly compliments our dining room.

I love having tons of plants around so I decided to ‘build’ a little plant stand for the corner of the dining room. I found these fun baskets at Christmas Tree Shops AndThat! so I turned one upside down and then added the smaller one on top with my Rubber plant inside. It’s a fun take on a plant stand that feels very fall as these baskets remind me of the baskets used at the apple orchards.

I love love love how our dining room turned out! I can imagine lots of family dinners in here! I can easily take down the place settings and leave up the center piece.
