Christmas Decor Ideas for the Kitchen

When I think of Christmas decor for the kitchen, I like to keep all my ideas very simple and functional.

These Christmas decor ideas are so festive and fun for the kitchen!

We love to cook and especially at Christmastime, our kitchen is always being used. I never want our decor to interfere with our ability to actually use our kitchen.

When I decorate the kitchen, I like to keep it very functional and uncluttered so that we can easily cook and bake. This year is no exception and I think that it still feels very festive without being overdone!

KITCHEN ISLAND

On the island, I simply placed an ornament garland down the center and added some mini faux trees and twinkle lights. It doesn’t take up the entire length of the island so that we can still use it to prep food or eat around it, if we want.

For our Christmas party this past weekend, we put all the food on it, but just moved the faux trees to other areas of the kitchen. It felt so Christmas-y, but nothing was in the way.

KITCHEN COUNTERS

I kept the counters around our oven and sink pretty clear as that’s where we do most of the prep work for cooking and baking. I figured it would be easier to just keep them simple so I am not constantly moving things around when it came time to make dinner.

The counters underneath our glass cabinets are not frequently used for cooking so I had fun dressing it up. I added some mini bottle brush trees and wooden trees along with some beautiful Christmas artwork.

KITCHEN DOORS

On the pantry door, I added a fun snowy, grapevine wreath. It adds some texture and dimension to a very plain door.

Our glass paned doors are so beautiful as is so I chose to keep them plain and simple.

KITCHEN SINK

Around the sink, I added a few ceramic houses with faux tea candles inside. They add a little flicker and festiveness.

Around the window, I layered 2 different garlands. One is a large bell garland and one is a mini bell garland. They are small touches, but add just enough cheer to the windows.
