Baby Number 3 is On the Way!

Baby Number 3 is On the Way!

Baby number 3 is on the way!

See how we announced Dominic and Giulietta.

I’m BEYOND EXCITED to be sharing our baby number 3 news with you today!

SURPRISE!!!!!! WE ARE HAVING ANOTHER BABY!

I have been keeping this big secret for a couple months now, so I’m so happy to be sharing our news with you. I’m 15 weeks and 3 days today.

Let’s back it up a bit and start from the beginning. I found out I was pregnant 2 days before my 32nd birthday. It was the very end of November and John Paul and I were so excited, plus all the feelings when you first find out you are expecting a baby!

We didn’t tell anyone right away. Although, I did tell my sister on my birthday because I had to tell someone!!! We told both of our parents on Christmas Eve when I was exactly 8 weeks along. You have to see my reel I made on IG (HERE) with the announcement to our parents, it was so cute!

FIRST TRIMESTER

The first trimester was kind of stressful and scary. Very different from my other pregnancies with Dominic and Giulietta. I felt really good the whole time, no nausea or morning sickness. No food aversions or cravings, except oranges, I was really into for a bit! I was pretty tired, but that’s par for the course with having 2 little ones already.

Around 7 weeks pregnant, I noticed some light bleeding which scared me so much! I was so nervous and quickly called my OB. She saw me immediately and confirmed the pregnancy, did some blood work, had an ultrasound, and all was settled. It ended up being a small hematoma causing the bleeding. Now, I don’t know much about them because I refused to Google it because that would make me even more nervous and scared. My doctor reassured me that this is very common in pregnancy and typically they go away. She said they don’t really cause any harm to the mom or the baby, but usually happen from implantation. She said this can sometimes cause light bleeding too. Thankfully, I haven’t had anything since then, but wow, that was so nerve wracking and scary.

They also noticed at my first ultrasound that the baby was implanted really low and possibly close to my c section scar which I had from Dominic. They sent me in for another ultrasound 2 weeks later to see where the baby was growing and hoping that the baby was growing up and away from the scar. I went to the ultrasound and it was confirmed that the baby was in fact growing away from the scar and the baby was in the perfect positioning. SUCH A RELIEF! Again, I didn’t do much research on this because I knew it would only freak me out more. My doctor did tell me that if the baby was close to the c section scar, I may be considered a high risk pregnancy with more ultrasounds and more careful observation throughout the pregnancy.

The rest of the trimester went much smoother and I am just so thankful the baby and I are doing well!

DUE DATE

My due date is 8/5/22. If any of my other pregnancies are indicators, I am thinking I will be early. Dominic was born 36 weeks 4 days and Giulietta was born 37 weeks 3 days. Although, you never know, this one could be on time or late! Time will tell.

GENDER

We aren’t planning to find out the gender, which is a crazy concept for me! We found out with both kiddos, but since we already have a boy and a girl, we figured, let’s go for a surprise and see what happens!

We have our girl name nailed down, but absolutely no boy names! Like NONE! If you have a boy name you love, send it in. We need lots of ideas!

DOMINIC + GIULIETTA

We are SO excited to see the kids become big siblings. Dominic is already amazing and so sweet with Gigi, but it will be fun to see Gigi in a big sister role now. They have both been so excited! We told them around 10 weeks and they have been asking non stop about the baby. What the baby eats, what the baby is doing, when the baby will come, where is the baby, etc. They love to look at my baby app and see what the baby’s size is each day.

It’s been a really fun experience sharing this with them. Dominic asks really great questions and is so inquisitive. Gigi is still so young, but she kisses my belly and says she loves the baby all the time. Both are so sweet and I know it’s going to be so fun to add another little one to our crew!

This baby is already so loved and we feel so thankful and grateful and blessed to be bringing another little life into our family. I can’t wait to share more of this pregnancy with you!

Thank you for loving on our family and being so supportive, we appreciate you!
